Brian Wildsmith analysis
This is one of my favrote images from wildsmithes collection in terms of art style, i think this is beacuse of the use of texture. Not only in the background but even in the paint drops contrasted in richer tones. I light range of pastal tones layered in the backgraound conbined with the drybrush tenique removing the top layer which creates texture.
The background creates the perfect contrast btween the richer tones on the fish, which our eyes are drawen to intantly creating the key focal point. The detail, textures and contrast creating the fish is visualy intertaing and i believe helps to stimulate childrens minds , paying atention to detail as well as aprechating the indeviual uniques.
I chose to look at Brain Wildsmith purly because of his art style, i was drawen to the bright defined images and like how playful the work feels. After reviewing his work and the content id believe its aimed at infants. Some of his more popular books include.
