Babys first object book.

I concider this an apraprate theme for a childs first object book because it includes large simplistic images with bright colours and lots of blank space, clearly highlighting the focal point. Id also deem this an aproprate style becuse these types of book are usaly printed on thick cardboard which is nessary for infants as the book could be throwen around. In terms of illustration id say the style is sucessful because of the light cntrasting flat colours and niave style of image.

Picture book for 3 - 6 yr olds

I chose to look at thomas the tank engine as a piture book beause of the semi realism within the illustrated form. i think this is important within this age range because it allows the auidene to better define and understand there own supproundings within the contained story line. I also aprechate this style due to the inclusion of facial expressions which help kids to understand expresion and emotion of the charaters, which they can then relate to real situations. the final reason id deem this an approprite theme for kids this age is becasue it relates to situations this age is familer with.
